Arènes de Fréjus or Amphithéâtre de Fréjus is a 12,000-capacity Roman amphitheatre located in Fréjus, France. The structure was built in the 1st century. In recent times the arena has been used for major rock concerts, hosting artists such as Rod Stewart, Queen, Iron Maiden, David Bowie and Tina Turner.

  • Totally ruined by the renovation. Go just to see what should not be done. The theatre is just as bad. The cathedral is, however, stunning.  more »

  • Nothing to see here as a tourist. The building was renovated and there is almost nothing left of the historical site. Not for history lovers. Must be a great arena for local events though!
  • Completely ruined the old Roman arena by constructing a modern concrete one on top of it 😕
