Iznaga Tower, Trinidad

4.3
Once Cuba's tallest building, Iznaga Tower was used to watch over slaves during the 19th century. The seven-story structure was built in 1816 and stands at 45 m (147 ft) tall. The bell that currently sits at the tower's base once hung at the top and was used to signify the workday's beginning and end, as well as prayer times. Visitors can climb to the top and take in views of nearby mountains and former sugar plantations below.
