A bizarrely shaped building, Atomium resembles a giant atom. Originally built for Expo 58, Brussels' World Fair in 1958, the landmark now attracts visitors for its impressive views of the capital from above. Designed in the shape of an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times, the building is composed of nine huge stainless-steel spheres measuring 18 m (59 ft) in diameter and connected by steel tubes. Visit the five spheres containing exhibit halls, including one permanent exhibit dedicated to Expo 58. The top sphere offers a panoramic view of Brussels. Learn about the building's history, construction, and renovation on a guided tour. See Atomium and all Brussels has to offer by arranging your trip with our Brussels tour itinerary planning tool .

Anche se è fuori città vale la pena andarci, per rimanere impressionati dalle dimensioni della costruzione! Non ho fatto la visita all'interno. Nearby there is a large park with some pavilions dating back to the expo.
Massive sightseeing with interesting facts and light show inside. I would recomment to visit it to all Bsussels tourists. more »
Atomium is must visit and a unique building. It's located right next to train station so very easy to reach. Tickets are cheap and cheaper for students. Elevator goes all the way up and you walk down on nice fancy escalator and stairs. There are 3-4 accessible round spheres with different themes which is good. Center sphere has lighting show.
The tickets to go in was pretty pricey for us, so we just stayed outside. The structure is impressive. I thought it would be smaller but it was larger than life. It's nearby many beautiful gardens and parks. Well worth the visit
